HCC are working with both Herts CCGs to tender for a new care home bed model; Integrated Rehabilitation Beds. This will replace a variety of current models such as Intermediate Care, Enablement and Non-weight-bearing.
The tender is available on www.supplyhertfordshire.uk and will be closing on the 8th November, and the new model will be in place from 1st of April 2017. The tender invites care homes to offer 8 or more beds on a block basis, to provide a flexible level of therapy input depending on each individual’s needs.
All residential and nursing homes are encouraged to bid for this exciting new opportunity!
What added-value can you add to your tender
Show you have well trained staff with the abilities to manage rehab beds. HCPA have worked with our partners, Enlight Physiotherapy, to come up with a course which will enable staff in your organisation to fully work with therapists and deliver on-going support to service users. The course is aimed at further skilling a ‘falls’ or ‘health’ champion. See the attached scheme of work which explains more fully the training staff will receive.
Costs
- Step 1 – Falls or Health Champion – current cost is £1000 (we hope this will be fully funded)
- Step 2 – Physio Support Facilitator Role – approximate cost is £2000
So, if you would like to add this training to your offer remember to factor in these costs to your tender.
HCPA continues to look for ways we can support you in any tender processes and although there is a cost to this, we are confident that it will provide you with quality training. Of curse we will continue to look for funding.
