What is Herts Good Care Recruitment?

Herts Good Care Recruitment is an experienced non-profit recruitment service delivered by Hertfordshire Care Providers Association in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council.

As a HCPA member, our service is completely free for you to use. You can advertise your available roles below and liaise with our experienced recruitment team to fill your vacancies. We complete a value-based screening with each candidate you receive from us to ensure that they are the right fit for your job.

Our direct service is an additional source of recruitment, but you can also access our other key services such as one-to-one recruitment support visits, training at HCPA and recruitment & retention study days to improve your own processes.

What is the Good Care Campaign?

With both an ageing population and individuals of all ages with more complex needs that require additional social care support, there is an increasing requirement to recruit and retain staff in the adult social care sector.

In Hertfordshire alone, we currently need to recruit around 4,000 paid carers each year. The Good Care Campaign is about celebrating the great work you and your staff carry out each day and sharing via social media and local news. It is your chance to inspire the public to consider social care as a rewarding career choice and recruit more people to work for you.

We are campaigning to raise the profile of the social care sector and to promote the great career opportunities and progression available to those who choose a career in social care.
