Our new Summer Timetables are now available online: Hertfordshire Health Walks – Hertfordshire County Council alongside our current timetables.
Please encourage your service users, clients, friends and loved ones to give walking a try during National Walking Month in May. #WalkThisMay #TheMagicofWalking
Health Walks are safe and the routes have been risk assessed.
In addition, there is no need for your clients to worry that they won’t be able to keep up as all our walks have a volunteer at the front and one at the back – ensuring everyone stays together and walks at a suitable pace.
Health Walks are unique because each walk is assigned with a Grade from First Steps to 4+. This means that walkers can choose the walk that is most suitable to their fitness level. We understand that everyone has a different starting point when it comes to physical activity, and we also understand that fitness levels are subject to change over time. For your clients who are inactive, why not encourage them to try one of our First Steps and Grade 1 Walks between May and August 2025? Timetable also attached. These are ideal for people who have not walked much before and who are recovering from injury or illness.
For people who work 9 to 5 and are looking for ways to get active, there are summer evening and weekend walks in many locations. See attached timetable. Our popular Sunday afternoon walks programme in Dacorum has also returned for the summer season and offers 18 countryside walks for more experienced walkers.
We look forward to seeing you the 7th May. View our Mass Health Walks Timetable to find a walk near you, including 3 at Stevenage Football Club.
