A precautionary withdrawal has been initiated by Yearsley affecting 8 frozen chicken products. The products originate from Brazil via Foodbridge and have been widely distributed. Please direct any enquiries regarding this incident to the Listeria team (Listeria@ukhsa.gov.uk)

Individuals who may have consumed the withdrawn products and feel unwell should seek advice from NHS 111 and/or their local healthcare providers, such as GP’s and acute NHS hospitals.

  • 1103377 Frozen cooked F1 plus breast diced 20mm 55x10kgs jumbos
  • 1110696 Frozen Steam cooked chicken Breast diced 12mm, F1+ – 4×2.5kg (10kg)
  • 1137670 Frozen cooked chicken breast diced 25mm F1 + Jumbo 550kgs
  • 1150311 Frozen shredded chicken JUMBO 40 x 10kg bags
  • 1187819 Steam cooked chicken breast diced 16mm, in jumbo

IMPORTANT– There are currently no confirmed cases of listeriosis associated with this incident, however, UKHSA are waiting for Listeria monocytogenes isolates from contaminated cooked chicken to be sequenced by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland to determine whether there is a match against reported Listeria cases. Furthermore, UKHSA is aware of an NHS trust that has identified a group of vulnerable patients who may have been exposes, and testing of their cooked chicken products is being arranged.
