The rising cost of living is impacting everyone in different ways, from yourself and colleagues, to friends, family and the people you support in your role.
We all need help from time to time and it can be difficult to know what support is available to you. Visit our cost of living webpage to find information on the key helplines and support available, as well as data to help understand the impact the cost of living is having on the people of Hertfordshire.
In Hertfordshire County Council, a cost of living steering group has been set up to lead the cost of living response, chaired by Scott Crudgington. There is a response group which sits below this chaired by Kristy Thakur to manage the multiagency response with several workstreams/subgroups developed for this work.
Household Support Fund
To support with the cost of living, Hertfordshire has been provided with funding from the government’s Household Support Fund. This will be used to help people in need with things like the cost of energy and food.
We are working with a range of partners across the county to make sure we get the right help to those who need it, at the right time.
The application-based support for residents can be accessed via Welfare Assistance Scheme. To apply, please visit www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/was
