Date: 11 June
Audience: All Care Providers
Good Moving and Handling practices are everyone’s responsibility, not just those in specialist roles.
Every day, people across health and social care settings make decisions that impact both their own safety and the wellbeing of those they support. By taking a shared approach, where staff, managers, and organisations all play their part, we can reduce the risk of injury, promote dignity, and create safer environments for all.
Moving and Handling Awareness Day is a reminder that small actions, like using the right equipment, following training, and speaking up about risks, make a big difference. When everyone commits to safer practices, we build a culture where prevention comes first, and everyone benefits.
The National Back Exchange (NBE) will be hosting a day of webinars and interactive sessions to engage staff and provide valuable updates.
