The homes people live in can have a significant impact on their physical and mental wellbeing. Hertfordshire County Council’s Public Health team, working in partnership with district and borough Environmental Health and Housing teams, is offering a free online training session to help professionals identify and respond to housing issues that may affect the people they support.
This 90-minute session is particularly relevant for homecare and community-based care staff who regularly visit people in their own homes. It will increase awareness of what makes a healthy home, the impact of poor housing on health, and how to access local support and referral pathways when concerns are identified.
Available dates:
- Thursday 3 September 2026 | 11.00am to 12.30pm
- Tuesday 6 October 2026 | 2.00pm to 3.30pm
- Wednesday 4 November 2026 | 10.00am to 11.30am
- Tuesday 8 December 2026 | 3.00pm to 4.30pm
