For services supporting people in the community

This June, Hertfordshire libraries are running their annual CareFest events, offering simple ways to feel better, move easier and live more comfortably.

They will be providing practical daily‑living aids free of charge to those who need them (like jar openers, sock aids, car support handles and long‑handled brushes) and there will also be:

  • Blood pressure checks and health guidance
  • Life‑saving CPR training
  • Mental health support from NHS Talking Therapies
  • Movement tips to keep you active and mobile

And because wellbeing includes a little joy… visitors can enjoy free breakfast treats from HILS while chatting about support services available. These are all-age drop-in sessions but older members of the community are particularly welcome. There is no need to book. Visit the website for dates and locations.
