HCPA has been contacted by CQC to share this local information


All providers need to be aware that there is at least one agency providing care staff who are potentially providing staff to services without carrying out recruitment checks. 

This is, therefore, a reminder to our Members to check agency staff profiles and follow the correct process.


The regulation CQC would review under is Regulation 19. 

It states “Person employed” will include any member of staff who currently works in the service, including agency, bank staff and volunteers”.
