Prevention and Positive Outcomes

Forum for Learning Disability Support Providers: For this Member Network event, the forum will be integrated in the main meeting room in the morning. In the afternoon, our providers of disability support services will then be held in a separate room.

*Refreshments, Lunch and Parking will be provided free of charge.

Hosted by HCPA, we look forward to bringing together our members for our first quarterly Network event of the new year. We will be focusing on the importance of prevention in all service types and how you can maintain positive outcomes for all the individuals you support. We have a special line up of guest speakers from the field including Hertfordshire County Council, HCPA, exercise and mobility specialists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, CCG Clinicians and much more.

The morning session is for all types of service providers and will focus on HCPA Updates, Hertfordshire County Councils Connected Lives, local best practice for Prevention Assessment and the national Prevention Agenda / NHS Long- Term strategy.

After the initial morning session, the event with separate into Older People services and Disability Services.

The Older People support services room (Care Homes and Homecare) will encompass a wide variety of presentations such as Malnutrition and dehydration, Enablement and Postural Support, Local falls pathway implementation, Exercise Standards and services and Utilising the right Services for the individuals you support.

The Disability Support Providers’ room will encompass a wide variety of presentations such as Diabetes and Obesity, Enablement and Postural Support, Early Mortality Rates, Herts Disability Sports Partnership, Exercise Standards and Utilising the right Services for the individuals you support.

All our member organisations, whatever service type, are welcome to attend this free quarterly event and we hope to see many of you there. Spaces at the event, however, are limited and we can only offer two per organisation site. This Network event is followed by a Networking lunch from 1pm-2pm.
