With ever growing dementia care needs, the CQC report highlights the good practice taking place across Uk care organisations.

The findings show that high‑quality dementia care is co‑produced with people and those who know them best, enabling meaningful social connection, choice and control, cultural identity, and continuity of what matters most to the individual within supportive, homelike community settings.

In 2026, CQC will use this to create a new Dementia Strategy that includes guidance on dementia care.
