Skills for Care are hosting a webinar on the new Code of Practice for the mandatory training requirement on learning disability and autism, effective from 6 September 2025.
The session will explain how CQC-registered providers can meet statutory training requirements through the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism (Oliver’s Training), the government’s preferred programme.
The webinar will cover:
- The purpose and content of the Code of Practice
- Tiers and delivery options for Oliver’s Training
- Support for providers, including funding and the Quality Assured Care Learning Service (QACLS)
- How the CQC will assess compliance
Speakers from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the CQC will share guidance and answer questions submitted at registration.
