We’re sure by now everyone has heard about the cyber-attacks on M&S, The Co-op & Harrods and the inconvenience and disruption they have caused. One imagines they have a huge team of IT experts and personnel fighting off the cyber foes and can resolve issues in a matter of days. The reality is quite the opposite in both respects and even two weeks after it was revealed these companies had been targeted, the public cannot complete online purchases or face serious disruption in normal shopping in their stores- the reputational damage and loss of income to these businesses will continue for some time to come. A similar attack on a care provider in the current challenging financial climate could mean lights out (and not in a good way).
Registering or renewing your already completed DSPT will mean you get to review and update what data security provisions your organisation has in place and take advantage of free support to help you through an attack, particularly if you are caught up in an attack on another company or supplier – happens to the best of us, but the best of us are prepared.
What do I need to do & how do I do it?
Firstly, if you Google ‘DSPT login’ this should bring to the webpage listing, DSPT information is always at the top.
In the event you can’t remember a password, or have any issues setting one up, email support.digitalservices@nhs.net and they will assist in resetting it for you so you may get in or give further advice.
Review your answers asap, and we’ll help you with the rest, we are here to help providers with 1-2-1 sessions if there are things you’d like to run through.
