Updated guidance on stroke rehabilitation

Care Providers – Are you advocating for people in your service who have had a stroke?

The  latest guideline from NICE says that people who have had a stroke or experience continuing impairment or limitations on their activities should be offered additional rehabilitation to help them recover. It recommends that people should be offered needs-based rehabilitation for at least 3 hours a day on at least 5 days per week.

A 2-page visual summary to aid discussions about care and support between healthcare professionals and people who have had a stroke is now also available.
