As you may be aware, Hertfordshire Equipment Service (HES) is preparing to roll-out a new policy on the prescription of equipment.  The new policy will outline what equipment will be available and how it will be authorised and provided.

As this is likely to affect care providers, HES would like the opportunity to share the key messages about this new policy with you, to understand its potential impact and how they can work with you.

Workshop for Residential Care Home Providers

HES are running a workshop regarding the new policy on 19th January for Residential Care Home providers at Longfield Training and Development Centre, Stevenage – Room LTC03 – Blackstone Auditorium from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

If you would like to attend this workshop please RSVP by emailing directly to Amy.Blissett@hertfordshire.gov.uk by the 16th January to secure your place.

Open afternoon for lead Home Care providers

HES will also be running an open afternoon for lead Home Care providers on Wednesday 25th January, 1-4pm at Mundells.

This event is designed to introduce Training Managers and other staff leading on delivery of training of home care staff to the work of HES. HES’s Specialist Equipment Practitioner, Linda Parry, will lead a tour of HES, offering you the opportunity to view the range of equipment HES provide and discuss its uses. It will be an interactive session with the chance to question HES’s in relation to equipment and its provision.

To book your space for this event please RSVP by emailing directly to Amy.Blissett@hertfordshire.gov.uk to secure your place.
