East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group are planning to change from diamorphine to morphine injection in end of life care.

They would like to make this change for safety and consistency as the majority of areas nationally and regionally are now using morphine, working with local hospitals, hospices and district nurses as well as GPs and community pharmacists.

If any of your staff require more information, they should contact the prescriber in the first instance or Stacey Golding, CCG Lead Pharmaceutical Adviser on stacey.golding@enhertsccg.nhs.uk (01707 369685)
