Are you an older persons care home supporting learning disabled adults?

Did you know there is an enhanced health service that ALL people with a learning disability should be supported to access?

All deaths of people with a learning disability are reviewed by LeDeR to ascertain if the death was avoidable.

We want to ensure your care home and staff teams have key people identified that have all the knowledge and skills to ensure the people your support don’t have an avoidable death.

Every older person commissioned service in Hertfordshire should identify one or more passionate staff member who can and will take the lead to ensuring that the people you care for, who have a learning disability, are receiving all the enhanced services they need.

These staff members will fully understand how to ensure reasonable adjustments are made and deliver this support with passion to all areas of care and support and be a support to other staff members.

This area of expertise will become a recognised area of skill and detailed and documented via PAMMs processes.

Please identify key people from your staff team who can lead in this area of expertise and book them onto one of these training dates:
