Source: HVCCG Adult Palliative Care

The Herts Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (HVCCG) would like to inform care providers of the local enhanced service for immediate access to specialist drugs that would not ordinarily be kept in stock, but may be required in emergency situations. This includes palliative care, bacterial meningitis prophylaxis and Tamiflu®. The main aim of the scheme is to enable palliative care patients to get quicker access to palliative care and end of life care drugs. Seven pharmacy contractors across West Hertfordshire provide this local enhanced service.
