This webinar will introduce you to the foundations of a healthy and balanced diet for your clients to support them in eating, drinking and ageing well. It will cover the importance of enjoying food and mealtimes, maintaining a healthy weight, keeping hydrated and having a nutrient rich diet.
Learning Objectives
1. Recognise how taking pleasure in food and drink can help maintain health by eating well.
2. Explain why maintaining your weight as you age is usually best for good health.
3. Describe why it is important to keep active.
4. Explain what a nutrient rich diet is and its importance as you age.
5. Identify the role and importance of vitamin D for good health.
6. Describe ways to ensure an adequate fluid intake to prevent dehydration.
