One day course at HCPA Campus
This training course is designed to equip care workers with the knowledge and skills to effectively support adults living with sensory loss. Participants will develop an understanding of how sensory processing systems work, the different types of sensory loss, and the potential causes and impacts on individuals’ daily lives. The course will place strong emphasis on person-centred approaches, ensuring that care workers can plan and deliver meaningful support tailored to individual needs.
The session will also cover the role of legislation, with particular focus on the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and introduce the Sensory Framework within Hertfordshire. Care workers will explore practical strategies, resources, and services available to promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for people experiencing sensory loss.
