This webinar introduces the Central East ICS guidance on delivering high‑quality, equitable end of life care for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. It will support health and social care professionals, paid carers, and families to better recognise when someone may be approaching the end of life, start timely and appropriate conversations, and put person‑centred plans in place.
The session will explore key principles including early identification, reasonable adjustments, inclusive advance care planning, communication needs, mental capacity, and coordinated working across services. Practical tools such as the Gold Standards Framework, ReSPECT, Health Action Plans, and accessible resources will be highlighted to support consistent, compassionate care that respects dignity, choice, and individual wishes at every stage of the end‑of‑life pathway.
