Do you know of an adult with mild-moderate learning/intellectual disabilities who has, or may, have Long-COVID?
CAREVIS are recruiting for a small study funded by HPFT and the University of Hertfordshire to find out from people with learning/intellectual disabilities and their carers (together or separately), how they talk about Long-COVID (or suspected Long-COVID). The hope is that if these conversations are made easier then people will be identified and referred to the appropriate service quicker for treatment.
CAREVIS are undertaking 15-20 interviews on Teams or on the telephone for qualitative analysis. They will then translate these findings into a new set of picture symbols with Talking Mats (Talking Mats | Improving communication, improving lives) which will then piloted in practice.
Inclusion criteria: Over 18, mild to moderate learning/intellectual disabilities, capable of providing informed consent, had COVID 3 months – 2 years ago.
