Half day course via Virtual Classroom
This half-day, live online session is designed for established leaders who benefit from discussion-led, peer-to-peer learning. Delivered in an interactive virtual environment, it removes travel demands and fits seamlessly into busy schedules. The session places strong emphasis on guided conversation, shared experiences, and reflective dialogue, enabling leaders to explore practical approaches together and apply insights directly to their work.
In this discussion-focused course, leaders in adult social care will examine effective time-management strategies and explore how personal habits influence productivity. Drawing on principles from Stephen R. Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, participants will engage in collaborative conversations about prioritisation, common time traps, stress, and sustainable work practices. Through facilitated dialogue and practical examples, leaders will develop a clearer understanding of how to use their time intentionally and support productive working across their teams.
Learning objectives:
• Understand the importance of effective time management including effects of stress.
• Identify individual “thieves of time” and common errors in time management.
• Understand how to manage a task list most effectively.
• Analyse time wasters such as procrastination and fear of failure.
• Learn to categorise tasks based on urgency and importance using the time management matrix.
• Evaluate time management tools and effective communication.
