Half day course via Virtual Classroom
This half-day, live online session is designed specifically for established leaders who value discussion-led learning and peer insight. Delivered in an interactive virtual environment, it removes the need for travel and easily fits into busy schedules. The session centres on guided conversation, reflective dialogue, and shared experience, enabling leaders to explore real challenges collaboratively and translate insights into effective action.
Focusing on difficult workplace conversations, this course creates space for leaders in adult social care to discuss the factors that make these conversations challenging and why engaging in them is essential. Through facilitator-led dialogue and exploration of a practical 5-step strategy, participants will examine how to prepare for and hold solution-focused discussions, give constructive feedback, and support meaningful action planning. The session is designed for leaders, managers, and supervisors who want to strengthen their communication confidence, whether they are refining existing skills or building new ones.
• Understand what makes conversations difficult and why we need to have them.
• Explore a 5-step strategy that covers: preparation, solution focussed communication and action planning.
• Learn strategies for providing effective feedback on performance and behaviours.
• Identify outcomes of conflict resolution
