This practical course equips managers and supervisors with the skills to address performance concerns confidently, fairly and consistently. Participants will learn how to give timely and constructive feedback, gather facts effectively, and determine the most appropriate action when concerns arise. Through realistic case studies, learners will develop the confidence to manage conversations, maintain accurate records, and apply proportionate approaches to support positive outcomes for individuals and organisations.

Learning objectives:
• Understand the importance of early feedback and accurate documentation.
• Use the W.I.N.A framework to structure effective feedback conversations.
• Distinguish between facts, perceptions, intent and impact.
• Apply effective questioning techniques to gather information and establish facts.
• Select the most appropriate response, including feedback, supervision, letters of concern or escalation.
• Apply practical tools and approaches to workplace scenarios.
