Recognition Through Engagement Awards…

HCPA is transitioning membership at Silver and Gold levels to new Engagement Awards at Silver and Gold. This change, reflects what monitoring teams want to see as it is focussed on engagement. Going forward this will also allow us to introduce even more new engagement awards in the future.

The purpose of Silver and Gold remain the same and have had their name changed to fully represent what they are. This will not affect any county council contract requirements which will still require Standard HCPA Membership plus a Silver Engagement Award.

Engagement Awards formally acknowledge members who invest in leadership, quality assurance, and staff development. Award holders gain visibility to commissioners, families, and potential staff, helping strengthen reputation and retention.

Silver confirms staff complete accredited leadership learning and use the Care Academy; Gold, builds on this by adding verification of GOOD Inspection and completion of our provider governance and feedback surveys.

Holders receive a logo, giving visible proof of care providers commitment to take actions towards continuous improvement, to commissioners, families and prospective staff. Soon plaques will also be available, please look out for details.
