Maintain and improvement movement, physical activity and independence webinar – January 21st 2022

It is vital that all providers are maintaining movement, physical activity, and independence for the individuals they support even when in isolation.

We all know movement and exercise is important for all adults. A recent study has found further links between physical activity and dementia risk. Results demonstrated that active participants of the study showed a 20% reduced risk, while those highly active had a 28% reduced risk.

Even at this difficult time, if you can, please help maintain and improve movement, physical activity, and independence to prevent deconditioning, reducing the chances of individuals being left in bed during their 2-week isolation period.

This webinar will talk through the top things you need to do to keep people moving in isolation, as well as guidance on further support and education available to help enhance your care delivery.

Headline Speakers Include:

  • Verity Forbes – Health Promotion Team Manager, HCPA
  • Suzy White – Prevention and Enablement Clinical Lead, HCPA
  • Jeanette Akunebuni – Occupational Therapy Team: Hertfordshire County Council
