One day course at HCPA Campus
This course will teach delegates about the most common neurological conditions including: Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke and Huntington’s Chorea. It teaches delegates about the functions of the brain and spinal cord, and how each condition can affect a person The course also covers neuroplasticity in terms of helping individuals in terms of early recognition and prevention of deterioration.
Learning objectives:
• To have an awareness of the most common neurological conditions.
• To have an understanding of how a person with one of these Neurological conditions may present
• To have an understanding of the concept of neuroplasticity
• To have an understanding of positioning, and the impact on function
• To be able to recognise signs of deterioration and to be able to signpost appropriately to Health Professionals

Bookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.
Delegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
