One day course at HCPA Campus
This course is suited for those in a leadership role who have the responsibility for Safeguarding Adults, enabling them to create a safeguarding culture within the organisation.
Topics include:
• Legislation and the relevance of the Mental Capacity Act,
• Positive risk taking, identifying, assessing and managing risk.
• Safeguarding responsibilities for Local Authorities
• Responding to allegations, concerns, and disclosures
• Information sharing and working in partnership.
• Learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews and reflective practice
Learning objectives:
• Understand relevant legislation, including the MCA and Care Act 2014.
• Understand how to create a safeguarding culture within organisations.
• Understand management responsibilities and how to respond.
• Understand and recognise your role within a multi-agency setting
• Reflect and embed good safeguarding practices within organisations.
Delegates are expected to be engaged in learning, participate in all activities including group discussions, and share their own experiences, whilst respecting confidentiality.
