Inspection & Monitoring Support

It’s always important to know how your organisation is performing, but waiting for a monitoring or regulation inspection might bring a few surprises. This support might appeal to a registered manager, nominated individual or a care business owner seeking support with quality audits and guidance to help you stay one step ahead, and tackle any areas for improvement before an inspection, so you can feel confident and prepared.

HCPA has three functions under the Inspection and Monitoring Support Service:

1. Pre-inspection
2. Post-inspection
3. Governance and Quality Assurance

PRE-inspection - CQC Single Assessment Framework

This support might appeal to a registered manager, nominated individual or a care business owner needing support to work through the new CQC Single Assessment Framework toolkit. You will have access to 5 x 1-2 hr sessions, where each session will cover one of the five KLOE’s. During the sessions you will be prompted to gather evidence relating to each quality statement and will be able to record them on the toolkit, the evidence gathering will form part of your session actions.

HCPA has created the toolkits for each provider type and for you to use, making your transition to the new single assessment framework as smooth as possible.

Post Inspection Action Planning

This support might appeal to a registered manager, nominated individual or a care business owner needing help with action planning after an inspection or monitoring visit. HCPA has created a tool that will support you create a robust service improvement plan (SIP) combining arising CQC and/or PAMMS actions. Our support sessions will cover the importance of not combining several actions into one row and will outline the significance of each column within the SIP and your Business Development Coach will guide you to maximise the use of the tools that will be shared with you.

We provide a bespoke 1:1 consultation service to work with the relevant manager and other relevant staff to identify solutions to areas identified within the monitoring/compliance report, to support quality improvement, and to develop processes and systems in line with required service actions and to promote good quality assurance practices for the future.

Governance and Quality Assurance

This support might appeal to a registered manager, nominated individual or a care business owner needing a bespoke 1:1 consultation and structured process to focus on all aspects of Governance and quality assurance. This service has been designed to work through proposed areas of focus and consists of 3 x 2 hr sessions (up to 5 if needed).

During the sessions we will carry out a quality audit that will provide an objective view of compliance, and the business development coach will provide support to develop processes and systems that will promote good quality assurance practices for the future.

In addition, we will assess the effectiveness of systems and their effectiveness in triangulating into good quality assurance practice, monitoring systems and the ability to identify and manage gaps in compliance with regulatory requirements and look to improve staff understanding of regulatory requirements and critical thinking. This is a popular choice amongst providers as it covers a lot of ground.
