SUMMARY:Coaching for Effective Leadership - Understanding Self Management and Resilience
DESCRIPTION:    \nCourse fee: £112.50 +VAT\nThis course is eligible for funding re-imbursement via the Learning & Development Support Scheme (LDSS) under Understanding Self Management.\nRead more about the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) Learning and Development Support Scheme here! \nOne day course via Virtual Classroom\nCoaching for Effective Leadership equips managers with practical coaching skills underpinned by strong self management and resilience. The course builds clarity\, focus and confidence under pressure\, helping leaders prioritise effectively\, coach themselves and others\, and sustain their impact in demanding care environments. \nThis Skills for Care CPD module places coaching at the heart of effective leadership\, supported by strong self management and resilience. \nThe day begins by exploring what resilience really is\, and how self management\, emotional intelligence\, beliefs and values influence leadership behaviour under pressure. Managers reflect on how they manage time\, stress and competing demands\, and how this impacts their ability to lead and support others effectively. \nParticipants are then introduced to a practical coaching model\, designed for everyday leadership conversations. Managers use this model to identify three real leadership goals and learn how to prioritise effectively – protecting what matters most while still making progress. \nThrough supported practice\, managers first coach each other on a low risk goal\, before developing their skills further and coaching at a deeper level. Built in protected time allows participants to practise self management techniques\, apply coaching approaches\, and create clarity around focus\, boundaries and next steps. \nLearning Outcomes\n• Explain how effective coaching is underpinned by strong self management and resilience\n• Describe what resilience is and how it supports sustained leadership effectiveness\n• Reflect on how their beliefs\, values and behaviours impact their leadership presence\n• Use a practical coaching model in everyday leadership conversations\n• Identify and prioritise leadership goals\, protecting their most important priorities\n• Apply coaching skills to support clarity\, focus and development in themselves and others\n• Implement practical strategies to manage pressure\, time and competing demands \nJoin us to build your skills\, enhance your leadership\, and boost your team’s performance. \nAs HCPA hold the Quality Assured Learning Service (QACLS) benchmark\, you can confidently book this programme\, knowing the training is of an exceptionally high standard and will provide you with the vital skills needed to successfully lead.\n \nThis course is eligible for Adult Social Care providers to claim 100% cost reimbursement through the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) under Understanding Self Management*. \n*Please note: As per our T&C’s\, this course carries a fee. Delegates will understand the new care pathway targets and how these relate to their work\, including touching upon the pathway itself. Delegates will understand the PHQ2 and PHQ9 assessment tools\, and will explore relapse prevention techniques. \nWhilst the pathway is for clinicians to follow\, it is important for delegates to be aware of\, as this will help to inform their practice and support individuals they work with through the process and treatment paths available to the individual. \nLearning objectives:\n• Understand prevalence of depression\, and its difference from low mood\n• Types of depression and new severity classification.\n• Understand causes\, symptoms and stigma associated with depression.\n• Understand treatment resistant depression and Identify relevant NICE targets.\n• Understand matched care model\, and treatment options.\n• Understand the PHQ2 tool\, how it can be used and tips for implementing.\n• Identify ways to promote relapse prevention.\n \n*Please note: As per our T&C’s\, this course carries a fee in the event of non-attendance\, non-completion or late cancellation.\nBookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.\nDelegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred
