Organised by the Hertfordshire and West Essex Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP)
A number of ‘Winter Warmer’ events are being run to help older people stay safe and well this winter. There will be a diverse range of talks that will cover a range of helpful topics from exercise and nutrition to advice on contacting important services such as NHS111.
They are hosted in collaboration with local community groups, councils and third sector organisations. Visitors will get an opportunity to hear from professional experts about:
- important health and wellbeing information
- the benefits of being active
- nutrition and hydration
- avoiding falls
- staying safe and secure at home
- how to access health and community services
Attendees will benefit from these community events with the chance to meet new people and perhaps take part in some gentle activities.
All these events are free to attend and run from 10am to 1:30pm with refreshments and light lunch available. Please note that booking is essential.
