This letter has been passed to us from Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) for circulation. You may have already received this by post.

HCC has reviewed their position regarding the funding of sleep-in services following the Court of Appeal ruling from 13/07/2018.

Thank you to those of you who have participated in the survey that was conducted as part of the review process.

HCC will honour all existing committed sleep-in funds and not make amendments to the payments that are currently agreed.

Any new requests from providers to have their sleep-in rates reviewed will be evaluated via our process for exceptional fee requests.

In light of the new legislation HCC will not apply a specific uplift mechanism for sleep-in funds, but will consider this on an annual basis when deciding general uplifts.

Thank you for your continuous support for Hertfordshire citizens.
