On Thursday 4th of August 2022, Advanced (a third-party software supplier to the care sector and NHS) experienced a disruption to their systems that has since been identified to be the result of a cybersecurity incident caused by ransomware.

Advanced have advised they immediately took action to mitigate any further risk and isolated all of their Health and Care environments, where the incident was detected. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is supporting Advanced with the investigation and their response to the cyber-attack.

The customer groups or software impacted either directly or indirectly are Adastra, Caresys, Odyssey, Carenotes, Crosscare, Staffplan and eFinancials.
