It explores how to identify and respond to malnutrition and dehydration\, including in those living with dementia or dysphagia\, using the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST). \nLearners will also consider cultural and religious dietary needs\, menu planning\, and the role of nutrition and hydration at end of life. Delegates must be fit and able to use moving and assisting equipment*\nThis course is suitable for anybody whose role involves Moving & Assisting activities within a social care setting\, such as those working in a care home\, nursing home\, or home care setting. \nIf you work in health and social care\, it is likely you will have to move or assist people as part of your role. Often this will involve the use of specialist equipment such as sliding aids\, hoists\, slings and handling belts.
