DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nCourse fee: HCPA Standard Member: Fully funded*\nAssociate/Network Member: £37.50+VAT | Non-member: £75+VAT\n \nOne day course at HCPA Campus\nThis course covers the key principles of safeguarding and an individuals rights regarding capacity. It identifies different types of abuse\, along with the signs and symptoms that might indicate abuse is occurring. It considers when individuals might be particularly vulnerable to abuse and what a care professional must do if abuse is suspected or alleged. \nLearning objectives:\n• Recognise signs and symptoms of abuse\n• Summarise how to respond to suspected or alleged abuse\n• Identify the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse\n• Recognise ways to reduce the likelihood of abuse\n• Explain how to recognise and report unsafe practices\n• Recognise the principles of Mental Capacity and how this relates to effective safeguarding \n*Please note: As per our T&C’s\, this course carries a fee in the event of non-attendance\, non-completion or late cancellation.\nBookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.\nDelegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
