SUMMARY:Tackling Tuberculosis together in Adult Social Care
DESCRIPTION:Course fee: Fully funded for Hertfordshire Care providers only \nVenue: Virtual Classroom\n \nTuberculosis (TB) remains an important public health issue and can present specific challenges within adult social care settings. \nThis half day event brings together adult social care providers and partners to strengthen awareness\, understanding\, and confidence in responding to TB within the workforce and the people they support.\nThe session will explore TB from a social care perspective\, focusing on early awareness\, workforce considerations\, and effective responses to individual cases or wider incidents. It is designed to support providers to meet their responsibilities around infection prevention\, safeguarding\, and workforce wellbeing. \nWhat the Session Will Cover \nTopics covered during the session will include: \n\nAn overview of tuberculosis (TB) and how it is transmitted\nTB within the adult social care workforce\nTB case management in social care settings\nResponding to TB incidents and outbreaks\nRoles\, responsibilities\, and partnership working to reduce risk and support safe care delivery\n\nWho Should Attend \nThis event is open to all adult social care providers\, including managers\, senior staff\, and those with responsibility for workforce health\, infection prevention and control\, and service leadership. \n*Please note: As per our T&C’s\, this course carries a fee in the event of non-attendance\, non-completion or late cancellation.\nBookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.\nDelegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
