The HCPA Stop Fall campaign hosts an array of important courses for care staff and community staff. Our education is broken down to be as relevant to services as possible, with options for Homecare, Residential and Nursing, Adult Disability and Community/ voluntary.

The courses have been developed to support change based on best practice techniques and local/ national policy. This year our courses include –

  • – Prevention for Residential and Nursing Staff (1Day)
  • – Prevention for Homecare staff (1Day)
  • – Prevention for community and voluntary groups (1Day)
  • – Intervention when an individual has fallen for Residential and Nursing Staff (1 Day)
  • – Intervention when an individual has fallen for Homecare Staff (1 Day)
  • – Exercise Instructor Qualification- Level 2 Chair Based (4Days)
  • – Physiotherapy Support Facilitator Role for Falls and Health Champions
  • – Prevention and Mobility for Adult Disability Services (1 day)

Starting Tuesday 16th March 2020 Chair Based Exercise Qualification Level 2 These qualifications are available for Care Home and Flexi-Care staff caring for elderly residents to enable them to carry out group and personal exercise within the service. Chair Based Exercises include a range of seated exercises that can be adapted to an individual’s abilities or goals.
