The HCPA Stop Fall campaign hosts an array of important courses for care staff and community staff. Our education is broken down to be as relevant to services as possible, with options for Homecare, Residential and Nursing, Adult Disability and Community/ voluntary.

The courses have been developed to support change based on best practice techniques and local/ national policy. This year our courses include –

  • – Intervention when an individual has fallen for Residential and Nursing Staff (1 Day)

  • – Physiotherapy Support Facilitator Role for Falls and Health Champions
  • – Prevention and Mobility for Adult Disability Services (1 day)

Advanced Falls Champion Pathway

Starting 2nd September 2019 Course Description: This pathway based on Hertfordshire and National standards. It is designed to up-skill your staff member in falls prevention and intervention by teaching preventative techniques that can stop falls risk from worsening, or in some cases, even starting and how to intervene once a fall has taken place.
