Upcoming Courses › Education for Trainers

HCPA needs to supply skills education to all the 30,000 care staff in Hertfordshire but we cannot do this alone. Cascade models that use internal trainers are often a great way to ensure that knowledge gets to all of the people. Trainers should be chosen for their enthusiasm, passion and knowledge in a subject area.

The first tier of trainer education is for the person who wants to deliver stand up classroom based sessions to a group of learners on a particular subject by using set materials by undertaking ‘Delivering Training’.

The second tier of trainer education is ‘Level 3 Award in Education & Training’ – this allows the person to fully understand how to develop and deliver training courses on any subject they are competent in.

Added to these trainer courses, HCPA also offers a qualification in checking competencies: ‘Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement‘ designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and experience to appropriately assess the vocational achievements of staff in the workplace.

We also provide short CPD sessions relevant to trainers, such as:

  • Competencies: Standardisation
  • Conflict Management
  • How to become an Internal Training Provider
