HCPA Advanced Champion Pathways were developed to create succession planning and sustainability within the Care Sector while supporting providers with the best practice and creating a culture of prevention and how to work internally and externally with Health and Social Care Professionals.
The unique HCPA Champion model provides organisations with the opportunity to manage prevention and complex issues by up-skilling a staff member with a higher level of knowledge that they can then cascade to their teams through mentoring, coaching and training.
We have developed a series of Pathways suitable for home care, residential & nursing homes and Learning Disability support services. All Champions will participate in a series of specialist knowledge days for their chosen subject area which is delivered by local specialists from the NHS and social care sector.
All champions will be expected to complete a number of unit qualifications which will have coursework to be completed.
Managers must attend the two half days for Action Planning and Next Steps.
Over the last year, HCPA has seen an increase on non-attendance for pathway dates. This year a much stricter process will be enforced. Non-Attendance will result in a £100 per day and champions will not receive a full certificate.
Please make sure you plan and discuss booking this extended course with your champions.
