Building on foundational knowledge\, the course explores the principles of adult safeguarding in greater depth and emphasises confident\, informed decision-making and effective multi-agency collaboration.\nLearners will gain the skills and insight needed to identify signs of abuse or neglect\, respond appropriately to concerns\, and navigate the complexities of safeguarding legislation and local policy. DESCRIPTION:Course fee: HCPA Standard Member: Fully funded*\nAssociate/Network Member: £37.50+VAT | Non-member: £75+VAT  \nOne day course at HCPA\nThis course is suitable for organisations supporting individuals who: \n\nHave a mental health need\nHave experienced a crisis\nAre in recovery\nHave a known or suspected substance misuse issue\n\nThis course provides a practical overview of substance misuse\, mental health crisis\, recovery\, and wellness planning. It supports staff to respond confidently and safely to individuals with complex and overlapping needs. \nCo-designed with Change Grow Live Drug and Alcohol Service\, the course explores why people may misuse substances\, the barriers they face\, and how stigma and system challenges can affect access to support.
