DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nCourse fee: HCPA Full Member: Fully funded*\nAssociate Member: £75+VAT | ACE Member: £100+VAT | Non-member: £150+VAT\nTwo day course at HCPA Campus\nDay 1: 04/03/2026\nDay 2: 05/03/2026\nThis course will cover the role of nutrition and hydration at the end of life and the factors to consider . Looking at the evidence\, the nutritional\, medical\, ethical\, legal and emotional aspects will be discussed\, in addition to how best to support both patients\, relatives\, friends and staff. The role of timely and appropriate communication skills will be explored using case studies. \nLearning objectives:\n• Describe the role of nutrition in palliative and terminal care.\n• Apply a person centred and individual approach to the nutritional needs of a person at the end of life\n• Identify and provide the types of foods and drinks that may be more acceptable\n• Follow the ICB Guidance on the Use of prescribed Oral Nutritional Supplements (ONS) at the very end of life.\n• Recognise the importance of using effective communication skills when supporting patients with eating and drinking at end of life. \n*Please note: As per our T&C’s\, this course carries a fee in the event of non-attendance\, non-completion or late cancellation.\nBookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.\nDelegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred
