DESCRIPTION:Course fee: HCPA Full Member: Fully funded*\nACE Member: £33+VAT | Associate Member: £38+VAT | Non-member: £50+VAT \nHalf day course at HCPA!\n \nThis session will help care staff confidently navigate decisions about the use of bed rails and bed levers\, in line with MHRA guidance and best practice principles. The training will cover when equipment is necessary\, how to complete risk assessments effectively\, and how to ensure decisions are always safe and person-centred. It will also assist care staff in identifying where there are risks associated with bed rails that are in place which is appropriate for all care staff. \nBy the end of this session\, participants will be able to:\n1. Explain the key risks associated with bed rails and bed levers.\n2. Follow the step-by-step process in the Bed Rail Risk Management Guide.\n3. Accurately complete a bed rail risk assessment for residents in their care.\n4. Apply person-centred thinking when deciding on bed rail use.\n5. Identify when equipment is no longer necessary or needs reassessment.\n6.
