Whistleblowing: Are you Listening? – Cohort 1

This remote interactive training session explores whistleblowing and related best practice guidance. Delegates will consider the use of active listening as a tool to address concerns and support service improvement.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
• Summarise the meaning of whistleblowing
• Recognise the difference between whistleblowing and a grievance
• Analyse the importance of actively listening to concerns
• Evaluate systems and processes for active listening to recommend improvements
Requirements and expectations
Learners will be expected to be engaged in learning, participate in all activities including group discussions, share their own experiences of working in the care sector, whilst respecting confidentiality, and to share best practice examples
A Onefile (e-portfolio) profile will be created on the learners behalf to support them in the completion of their course
