Course description

This course is designed for any senior care staff or managers who are directly responsible for Safeguarding and have the responsibility for communicating with the wider team. The course covers how to promote and develop robust system for communications within your organisation and the wider team. It will support staff to take appropriate and positive action to protect someone’s safety and welfare and wellbeing

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course learners will be able to:
– Explore who the wider team are and the importance of good communication
– Evaluate new ways of working and state how these practices will be implemented
– Explore ways to support difficult conversations when communicating with the wider team
– Explore new ways of recording and sharing information

Requirements and expectations

Learners will be expected to be engaged in learning, participate in all activities including group discussions, and share their own experiences, whilst respecting confidentiality Learners should have a knowledge of safeguarding at a senior or management level and be in a position that they are able to implement changes within the organisation and communicate with the wider team
