Principles of Care Planning (Level 2 Accredited course) -Cohort 2
15 April - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
This course is delivered over six sessions (15th,20th,21st,22nd,28th and 29th April 2021 ) and all sessions must be attended (T&C’s apply). This course has a coursework element which must be completed within 30 days of the course end date (T&C’s apply)
This qualification will help learners to understand their role in supporting the preferences and needs of individuals in relation to their care or support, the development and implementation of care plans and contributing to the review of these by observing, monitoring and reporting on the care activities they’re responsible for.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
– Summarise person-centred thinking and planning
– Review care planning for the care worker
– Explain nutrition and hydration in the health and social care setting
– Discuss principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
– Identify principles of continence care
– Review principles of supporting sleep
Requirements and expectations
Learners will be expected to attend all sessions, complete coursework within agreed timeframes (T&C’s apply), be engaged in learning, participate in all activities including group discussions, and share their own experiences of working in the care sector, whilst respecting confidentiality
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification in healthcare or social care.
