IPC and PPE train the trainer: For Community Staff

21 October - 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Fully funded

Health and Social Care providers are now preparing for a potential second wave of COVID-19 as well as influenza season, and we want to make sure we have learnt from the first wave; particularly where the correct use of PPE and IPC procedures has been a big change for most care staff.

Since June the CCG and HCPA has been providing a variety of IPC and PPE training for all care staff across the county. HCPA will be running further train the trainer sessions for you to send 1 or 2 members of staff so they can cascade down to staff at their organisation.

The training provides guidance to staff on the effective use of a range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand washing and use of hand gels as well as targeted support around COVID-19 and managing the spread of infections. The training includes a competency assessment, which can be used in your staff files and risk assessments.

  • Attendees will need two aprons, masks, and glove sets for the session as well as some form of eye protection.
  • 1 or 2 members of staff so that they can cascade down to other staff
  • Access to their mics and videos over zoom.

The sessions will be 2.5 hours online via Online Zoom.

Tickets are not available as this course has passed.
