IPC and PPE train the trainer session for Care Home staff
23 October - 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Offered by Hertfordshire County Council in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Health and Social Care providers are now preparing for a potential second wave of COVID-19 as well as influenza season, and we want to make sure we have learnt from the first wave; particularly where the correct use of PPE and IPC procedures has been a big change for most care staff.
Since June the CCG and HCPA has been providing a variety of IPC and PPE training for all care staff across the county. HCPA will be running further sessions for you to send staff that were not able to attend these sessions
- The training provides guidance to staff on the effective use of a range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand washing and use of hand gels, as well as targeted support around Covid-19 and managing the spread of infections.
- The training is delivered as a train the trainer so please pick an appropriate staff member who can then cascade to the rest of the staff. Only 1 or 2 members of staff will be needed for the session
- Delegates will be expected to complete a competency assessment, so will need a pair of gloves, 2 aprons, a mask and eye protection to demonstrate during the session.
- Please make sure you have access to your mics and videos and have appropriate space to put on and take of PPE.
The sessions will be 2.5 hours online via Online Zoom.
You will need a pair of gloves, apron, a mask and eye protection.
