Falls Prevention for Care Home Managers

Management will learn how to implement the staff’s knowledge and falls tools by developing action plans in relation to falls risk identification and assessment. 

Learning Outcomes

• How to risk assess for falls and carry out provider risk assessments and update policies.
• Strategies that can be implemented to reduce falls. This includes reviewing environments, medication, technology, visual awareness, footwear, nutrition and hydration.
• To embed falls assessment tools, including FRAT: a national wide tool used to assess an individual falls risk
• To action plan areas within your organisation to reduce falls risk
